What services do you offer?
We provide a range of culinary services including:- Private Dinner Parties- Corporate Events & Luncheons- In-Home Chef for Hire- Catering for Large Gatherings (Birthdays, Holidays, Weddings, etc.)- Weekly Meal Prep & Cold-Pressed Juice Sales (Seasonal/Rotational)
When is my remaining balance due for events or catering services?

For standard bookings (private dinners, intimate parties, chef-for-hire): the remaining balance is due 7 days prior to your event.

For larger events (12+ guests, weddings, corporate parties): the remaining balance is due 14 days prior to your event.
Is a deposit required?
A non-refundable deposit of $150 is required to reserve your event date.
Cancellations:

More than 14 days in advance: Deposit is non-refundable, but may be credited toward a future event within 90 days (subject to availability).

7–13 days before event: No refund of deposit; 50% of remaining balance may be refunded.

Within 72 hours of event: No refunds. Full payment is forfeited due to labor, ingredients, and time already invested.
Where are you located and which areas do you serve?
We are based in North Houston, TX and currently serve:- Houston & surrounding areas- Laurel, MS (until August 2025; travel bookings may still be accepted by request)- Other cities/states by special request, with travel fees
When are pickup and delivery times for meal prep?
Pickup: Sundays between 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM Delivery: Mondays between 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM (delivery fee may apply) Please select your preferred method at checkout or contact us to confirm.
What is your return & refund policy?
Due to the nature of freshly prepared food, we do not offer returns or refunds once items have been made. If there’s an issue with your order, please contact us within 24 hours and we’ll do our best to make it right. Email: chefnikb@the-pampered-plate.com
What’s the order cutoff for meal prep?
All meal prep orders must be submitted by Wednesday at 11:59 PM for the upcoming weekend.
How far in advance should I book for dinner parties or events?
We recommend booking 2–4 weeks in advance for private dinners or small gatherings.
Larger events (12+ guests) may require 4–6 weeks, and very large events (40+ guests) should allow 6–8 weeks or more.
Last-minute bookings (within 7 days) are subject to availability, require full payment upfront, may include a rush fee, and must be submitted through a consultation or contact form for approval.
Can I hire you as a private chef for weekly cooking?
Yes. Our Chef for Hire service allows clients to book Chef B for in-home cooking on a one-time or weekly basis.
This includes:

Grocery shopping (or using groceries you provide)

Full day or half-day meal prep in your home

Packaging, labeling, and storage of meals

Optional add-ons like snack prep, juice/smoothie batches, or cleanup services
Great for families, professionals, or individuals who want home-cooked meals without the work.
Bookings are limited and require a consultation to customize your plan.
How is the event menu confirmed?
After your deposit is received, we’ll reach out to finalize your menu, guest count, and additional upgrades if needed.
What is your return & refund policy?
For Meal Prep & Fresh Orders:
Due to the nature of freshly prepared food, we do not offer returns or refunds once items have been made.
If there’s an issue with your order, please contact us within 24 hours of pickup or delivery and we’ll do our best to make it right.
For Events, Catering, and Ready-to-Book Services:
All event bookings require a non-refundable deposit (typically $150 or as stated in your package) to secure your date and cover initial planning.
Do you accommodate food allergies or dietary restrictions?
Yes — we do our best to accommodate dietary needs such as gluten-free, dairy-free, low-carb, pescatarian, or diabetic-friendly requests.
Please include all allergies or restrictions at checkout or contact us directly so we can adjust accordingly.
